OUR HISTORY
Founded on a passion for precision and a commitment to helping others, Horberg Industries embodies the core values of our founder, William Horberg. In 1935, Horberg set up shop as Centerless Grinding Works in the shipping department of a machine tool company in Bridgeport, CT. In 1953, the name was changed to Horberg Grinding Industries to reflect the Company’s expanding capabilities.
As the Aerospace and Defense industries grew and evolved, so did their need for critical tolerance fasteners. This was a tailor-made assignment for Horberg Grinding Industries. With the advent of the precision centerless ground taper pin, Horberg quickly became the go-to source for precision dowels, taper pins, and shafts. In 1993, the company changed its name to Horberg Industries, Inc., providing precision components to Aerospace, Defense, Medical and Industrial enterprises, as well as Government, Public, and Private industries.
Today, Horberg Industries seamlessly blends processes, innovation, cutting-edge tooling, and robust systems with the strong family and business values that characterized our inception. As a US-based supplier, customer, employer, corporate citizen, and community member, we proudly uphold this legacy.
